Kostin allowed the Central Bank’s key rate to be increased to 25%, saying that “where women lead the process, little is impossible”
The head of the state bank VTB, Andrei Kostin, said that he allows the key rate to rise to 25% next year, citing the fact that the Central Bank is headed by a woman. Speaking about raising the rate, Kostin, in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel, suggested that it could reach 21% by the end of this year, but advised checking this with the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina. “You ask Elvira Sakhipzadovna. Ask her, I don’t rule the bets,” he said.
