Kadyrov demanded that General Shamanov be sent to the front - he commanded federal troops during the first Chechen war
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, demanded that State Duma deputy, Colonel General Vladimir Shamanov , who publicly criticized the authorities’ plans to rename cities in Chechnya, be sent to the front. On September 25, the State Duma adopted a bill in the first reading, according to which the three Chechen cities of Sernovodskoye, Shelkovskaya and Naurskaya will be renamed Sernovodsk, Terek and Nerve, respectively. At the meeting, Shamanov spoke out against the initiative.
