WSJ: Sudan offered Russia to place a military base on its territory in exchange for weapons
The Sudanese military government has proposed that Russia enter into a 25-year cooperation agreement, which involves the creation of a Russian military base on the Red Sea coast, The Wall Street Journal writes, citing sources among Sudanese officials. According to the proposal, Russia will be able to deploy up to 300 military personnel and up to four warships, including nuclear-powered ones, in the country.
