Reuters: The West wants to ban European tankers from exporting oil from Russia. And abandon the price ceiling
The Group of Seven ( G7 ) countries and the European Union are discussing a proposal to introduce, instead of a price ceiling on Russian oil, a complete ban on the provision of services for its transportation by sea, Reuters reports, citing sources. Thus, according to the agency’s interlocutors, the authors of the initiative want to stop the participation of Western shipping companies, in particular from Greece, Cyprus and Malta, in the export of Russian oil.
