Criminals robbed a branch of the Sparkasse bank in Gelsenkirchen in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, stealing money and valuables worth tens of millions of euros, the Associated Press and Deutsche Welle report. About 3,200 bank safes were hacked at the branch, which affected about 2,700 clients, according to data from the police and the bank itself.
