Trump announces 10% tariffs on eight European countries over Greenland
US President Donald Trump announced that eight European countries will be subject to a 10% import duty on goods supplied to the American market from February 1. The tariff, Trump wrote on his Truth social network account, applies to the UK, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, France and Sweden. These countries, he said, will pay the tariff until an agreement is reached on the transfer of Greenland to the United States.
