The former president of Zambia has not been buried for eight months. Because he didn't want the sitting president to be at the funeral
More than eight months after the death of Zambia's sixth president, Edgar Lungu, his body remains at the funeral home in South Africa where he died, the Associated Press reports. A grave has been dug in a cemetery in Zambia's capital, Lusaka, where the country's current president, Hakainde Hichilema, hoped to bury Lunga with state honors. However, Lungu is not buried because before he died, he told his family members that Hichilema should never go near his body.
