Jane Fonda, David Fincher, Kristen Stewart, Joaquin Phoenix and more than 1,000 other celebrities spoke out against Paramount taking over Warner Bros.
More than one thousand directors, actors, producers and film and television industry professionals published an open letter on April 13 opposing the proposed Warner Bros. merger. Discovery with Paramount Skydance. According to the letter's authors, the deal would reduce industry jobs, increase costs and limit choice for viewers around the world. “What is particularly troubling is that this merger will reduce the number of major U.S. film studios to just four,” the letter said.
