Ukraine said it hit fighter jets at an airfield near Chelyabinsk
Ukrainian drones attacked several Su-57 fighters, as well as a Su-34 fighter-bomber at the Shagol airfield in the Chelyabinsk region, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on May 1. Drones from the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces attacked the airfield on April 25, the department said. Shagol, the message emphasizes, is located approximately 1,700 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. “The extent of damage [to the aircraft] is being clarified,” the General Staff added.
