In Karelia, at the Sandarmokh memorial cemetery, people in Cossack uniforms and from the pro-government nationalist movement “Russian Community” tried to disrupt a rally in memory of the victims of Stalin’s repressions. This was reported by Sotavision and Paper. In Sandarmokh, on August 5, events are held annually to commemorate the victims of repression. This year, relatives of those executed, historians, social activists, and representatives of diplomatic missions came there.
