The US ambassador to Minsk will be the director of the State Department of Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.
US President George Bush intends to appoint Karen Stuart an ambassador to Belarus, the US State Department said. According to the State Department, Karen Stuart is "a career officer in the senior link of the diplomatic service, currently holds the post of director of the Department of Affairs of Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus in the State Department." Previously, Stuart already worked in Belarus - was the deputy head of the diplomatic mission, also worked in Laos, Interfax reports.
