An earthquake of 6.1 points occurred in the south of Sakhalin
In the south of Sakhalin, a powerful earthquake occurred on Friday night. Underground shocks with magnitude 6.1 points on the Richter scale were recorded at 2:20 local time, the South Sakhalinsk seismic plants reported. According to experts, the epicenter of the earthquake was 20 km from the village of Gornozavodsk, the Nevelsky district. Four scores were felt by force in Kholmsk, Nevelsk, Korsakov and on Cape Krillon. In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the earthquake was felt by force up to three points.
