Sweden won the right to hold the World Hockey Championship in 2013. Such a decision was made after voting at the IAAF Congress, which takes place these days in Vancouver. The Scandinavian country bypassed Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary and Latvia. Sweden received 70 out of 96 possible votes, Belarus - 15, Hungary - 8, Czech Republic - 3, and Latvia removed its candidacy before the voting, the IIHF website reports.
