The Paris authorities decided to save electricity, and start with the Eiffel Tower. As Interfax reports, starting on September 22, its night lighting will double, the tower employees said. The Eiffel Tower is illuminated for ten minutes at the beginning of each hour to two hours ten minutes. From September 22, it will be covered only for five minutes, which will lead to an annual decrease in the tower lighting time from 400 to 200 hours.
