Forecast: The number of robots in the world will triple by 2011
The number of robots in the world can triple - however, not in a few days, as in the film "I, the Robot", but not in 2035, but much earlier. The last issue of World Robotics, which monitors the latest trends in the development of robot construction, says that more than 6.5 million robots (against about 1 million in 2002) are now in a total value of about 6 billion dollars in operation. Five years later, experts expect the triple of this amount, writes the British newspaper The Guardian .
