Since November 1, 2008, Ukrainian cable operators stop retransing of television channels non -adapted to local legislation, including Russian: Channel One, RTR, TVC and REN TV. The Russian Foreign Ministry has already stated that this violates the rights of citizens of the country, and the mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, demanded to take measures in response to the oppression of the Russian language, ITAR-TASS reports.
