A new bishop is appointed to Chukotka. By the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, the meeting of which began today in Moscow, the Bishop of Shatursky Nicodemus will be managed by the Chukchi and Anadyr diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. About this, according to ITAR-TASS, told reporters the head of the press service of the Moscow Patriarchate, priest Vladimir Vigilyansky. The diocese, uniting 12 parishes in the Chukchi Autonomous Okrug, was formed in 2000.
