Russia voted against the adoption of a resolution extending the mandate of the UN mission in the region of Georgia and Abkhazia. A group of Western countries made a proposal for the technical extension until June 30 of this year. In support of this project, ten delegations spoke out, four delegations - China, Vietnam, Libya and Uganda - abstained during the vote. At 00:00 in New York time (8:00 Moscow time), the UN mission in the region of Georgia and Abkhazia will cease its work.
