The first statement of Demyanyuk in court: he considers himself a victim of the Nazis
The first performance before the court of John (Ivan) Demyanyuk, accused of Nazi crimes, took place in Munich on Tuesday. The Executioner Sobibor, as the World Press calls it, presented a written statement that was read out during the hearing, Newsru Israel reports. Demyanyuk said that he himself is one of Hitler’s victims, because, according to him, Germany unleashed the war, as a result of which he could never return to his native Ukraine.
