The UN General Assembly will choose five unstable members of the UN Security Council for 2011-2012
The UN General Assembly will hold the elections of five unstable members of the Security Council today. Columbia, India, South Africa, Germany, Portugal and Canada claimed the places of unstable members in the Council for 2011-2012. Those states that will be elected will replace Austria, Japan, Turkey, Uganda and Mexico at the UN Security Council, whose term of office expires on December 31, 2010, ITAR-TASS reports.
