In the south of Syria, a tent town was fired in a matar near the city of Deraa (110 km south of Damascus), where the election rally was held in support of Bashar al -Assad. As a result of the mortar shelling of the rally, 39 people were killed, 205 were injured, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to AP. The shelling occurred late in the evening on Thursday. Earlier, 21 dead and 30 were injured were reported.
