Canadian Nathan Smith became the winner of the persecution race at the last, ninth stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, overcoming 12.5 kilometers in 32 minutes 4.9 seconds and making one miss on the firing lines. The second place was taken by the German Benedict Dolle (+24.0), and Russian Anton Shipulin, who did not cover the target (+35.7), closed the top three winners. Shipulin, starting from the second position, had the best chances of success among Russians.
