In Europe, the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascist Germany is celebrated
In European countries and the USA on Friday, May 8, commemorative measures begin on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe, the Air Force reports. European leaders gathered in the Polish city of Gdansk. President of Poland Bronislav Komorovsky, Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko, UN General Pan Gi Moon, as well as the presidents of Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Lithuania and Romania, arrived at the commemorative event on the Westerplatt Peninsula.
