HRW: During the offensive in Syria, cluster bombs were used
Human Rights Watch Human Rights claims that during the October offensive of the Syrian army, cluster bombs were used - ammunition, banned from 2010 by an international treaty that Russia and Syria have not joined. Since 2012, HRW has signaling the widespread use of cassette ammunition by government forces. During the last offensive, human rights activists say, new photo and video surveillance of the application of such ammunition, which are an increased danger to the population, have appeared.
