The Kremlin reported that they would look for an alternative to Telegram in case of blocking the messenger
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called Telegram a convenient channel for communicating with journalists, but noted that if a messenger is blocked in Russia, he will have to find an alternative. “It will be very unfortunate if a consensus is not found [between the leadership of Telegram and the supervisory authorities], but for now, as far as we understand, it has not been found,” TASS Peskov quotes.
