In the capital of Russia, after warm New Year's days, cold weather is expected for Christmas. It will begin on the weekend of January 5 and 6, and on Monday, Christmas Day, daytime temperatures will drop to minus 20 degrees. As Evgeny Tishkovets, leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, told the Moscow 24 TV channel, by Saturday the thermometers will drop to -8...-13, and during the day the air will warm up to -5...-10. Snowfalls will become short-lived and begin to subside.
