The suddenly dismissed 63-year-old head of the presidential administration (AP), Sergei Ivanov, will be replaced in this post by his former deputy, 44-year-old Anton Vaino. By decree of the head of state, Ivanov, who has headed the presidential administration since 2011, was appointed special presidential envoy for environmental protection, ecology and transport (there was no such position before, it was created specifically “under Ivanov”).
