The organizers of the rally against the “Yarovaya package” in Yekaterinburg appealed the refusal to hold it to the ECHR
The organizers of the rally against the Yarovaya package, which was supposed to take place on July 26, appealed to the ECHR with a complaint that the authorities did not approve the rally, since the celebration of the Navy Day was held at the rally site almost a week earlier, RBC reports. In their opinion, the officials, by their actions, hindered the freedom of expression and freedom of assembly (Articles 10 and 11 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms).
