A passenger on a flight from Tel Aviv said that they were evacuated from Makhachkala airport by military helicopter during the pogrom.
Passengers on Red Wings flight WZ-4728, flying yesterday from Tel Aviv to Makhachkala, told Yediot Ahronot and Mediazona about the pogrom at the Dagestan airport. 26-year-old Shmuel from Jerusalem was flying to Makhachkala to visit his bride. Of the 45 passengers on board, 15 were Israelis, including children, he said. Many flew to Moscow, and in Dagestan they had a transfer. So, among other things, Mediazona’s interlocutor was flying with her mother, father and sister.
