Los Angeles fires have killed 16 people. More than 150 thousand remain evacuated, more than 12 thousand buildings destroyed

Authorities have confirmed the deaths of 16 people: 11 people died in the Eaton fire area in the Pasadena area, five people died in the area destroyed by the Palisades fire in the Pacific Palisades area.
