In St. Petersburg, the head of the pathology department of the Alexandrovskaya Hospital was arrested on suspicion of selling “unclaimed” corpses. The Investigative Committee reported this. He is suspected of exceeding official powers (clause “e”, part 3, article 286 of the Criminal Code) and receiving a bribe (clause “c”, part 5, article 290 of the Criminal Code). The founder of a commercial organization, who allegedly bought corpses from a pathologist, was also arrested.
