The number of Internet users in Russia has grown 2.5 times since 2009
The Russian Internet audience has increased 2.5 times over the past two years, from 10 million users in August 2009 to 25 million last August, Prime-TASS reports, citing data from the analytical company OpenStat. The main increase in the audience occurred due to the regions, while the total share of users from Moscow and St. Petersburg during this time decreased from more than 51% to about 40%. Russian Internet users, like two years ago, prefer two search engines, Yandex and Google.
