The charges against Oleg Mironov, an activist of the unregistered Other Russia party, have been toughened, his lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky said on Twitter. As he explained to TASS, the investigators changed the charge of “hooliganism” from part 1 to part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, according to which the crime was committed by a group of people. In addition, under part 1, the maximum penalty is 5 years in prison, and under part 2, 7 years in prison.
