Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sentenced to death
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, accused of committing terrorist attacks at the Boston Marathon in April 2013, was sentenced to death, Fatima Tlisova, a Voice of America journalist, reported on Twitter. The jury decided on the death penalty. According to Tlis, some jurors considered the dominance of Tamerlane's older brother, who died during arrest, as a mitigating circumstance. Three jurors found that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev would not have carried out the attack without his brother's influence.
