Food prices in Russia increased by 3.3% in the first half of 2016. It is reported by Interfax with reference to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service. At the same time, in the European Union, food prices rose by only 0.4%. In Russia, vegetables, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets rose in price most of all - 1.7% and 1.2%, respectively. On average, in the EU countries, prices for vegetables fell by 2.5%, for sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets - did not change.
