The IOC announced the candidate countries to host the Olympic Games in 2026
Seven countries have expressed their desire to host the 2026 Winter Olympics: Austria (Graz), Italy (Cortina dʼAmpezzo, Milan and Turin), Canada (Calgary), Turkey (Erzurum), Switzerland (Sion), Sweden (Stockholm) and Japan (Sapporo). Where exactly the Olympics will be held in 2026, the IOC will announce in September 2019, the report says. Note that only Turkey and Sweden have never hosted the Winter Olympics.
