More than one million hectares of forest are burning in Siberia and the Far East
In Siberia and the Far East, there are fires with an area of more than a million hectares, according to the Avialesokhrana website. At the same time, the state of emergency was introduced in four constituent entities of Russia, namely in the republics of Tyva, Sakha (Yakutia), in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and in one municipal district of the Irkutsk Region. In Yakutia, the area of fires is 914 thousand hectares, of which more than 11 thousand hectares were extinguished.
