Andrei Mayakov, deputy head of the human rights organization Committee for Civil Rights, went on a hunger strike after being arrested on charges of attempted fraud. Alexander Khurudzhi, a member of the Moscow Supervisory Commission, told Interfax about this. Mayakov began a hunger strike the day before, on October 24, in protest against the court decision and the course of the investigation - he has no complaints about the conditions in the pre-trial detention center, Khurudzhi specified.
