“The use of international instruments for political persecution is condemnable”: Lithuania refused to arrest Leonid Volkov
The Lithuanian authorities, where Leonid Volkov, the head of political headquarters of politician Alexei Navalny, is located, refused to arrest him at the request of Russia. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, Agne Bilotaite, whose words are quoted by Delfi. “The use of international instruments for politically motivated prosecution is a practice deserving of condemnation,” she said.
