A new railway station opened in Moscow for the first time in 100 years
The Vostochny railway station has opened in Moscow, the capital's mayor's office said . It is located in the Cherkizovo district and is intended for long-distance trains. 24 routes from the Kursk railway station were transferred to it, including the Lastochka and Strizh trains, following from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod and Ivanovo. Also, transit trains from St. Petersburg and Murmansk to Adler, Anapa, Belgorod, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd and other Russian cities will go through the new station.
