In Russia, 20,174 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected per day, according to the Moscow infection control headquarters. A day earlier, on September 18, 20,329 new cases of COVID-19 were registered per day. In Moscow, the infection was recorded in 2376 patients (the day before - 2746). For the fourth day in a row, the number of new patients with COVID in the capital has exceeded 2,000. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin explained the increase in the incidence of seasonal factors.
