Global executions to hit 10-year high in 2023 - Amnesty International
The number of death penalty executions worldwide increased by 31% in 2023, the highest figure since 2015. This data is cited in a report by the human rights organization Amnesty International. In 2023, human rights activists recorded 1,153 executions in 16 countries. In 2022, the number of executions was 883. The leaders in the number of executions carried out in 2023 were China (1,000+), Iran (at least 853), and Saudi Arabia (172).

Putin signs law on creating open registry of alimony debtors. It will contain personal data of 144 thousand Russians
The law was published on the official portal of legal acts. According to the document, the register will include alimony defaulters who were previously brought to administrative or criminal liability, as well as those who were put on the wanted list. The personal data of debtors will be publicly available: last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, place of birth, amount of outstanding debt and data on administrative or criminal cases against them.
