In Russia, a record increase in domestic violence was recorded over the year - comparable only to the times of self-isolation during Covid.
In 2025, the All-Russian Helpline for Women received almost 24 thousand calls - 40% more than the year before, Caution News reported . Such explosive growth can only be compared with the times of the covid pandemic, when families remained in self-isolation for a long time, and this provoked conflicts. Among the leaders in requests were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov region, Krasnodar region, Bashkortostan, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, and Novosibirsk regions.
