The fight for the fabulous riches of Evenkia
Correspondent: Evenk Nidym, lost in the taiga, is, as they say here, a ghost village: rickety houses, empty deer camps, a passerby - a rarity on the streets even on a day off. Nidym was once considered almost a model farm; the largest breed of reindeer was bred here. And it was prestigious for the Evenks to have their own house in the village. Nidym is still called exemplary, but in a different sense. To find out how people live in the area, they say, it’s enough to visit here.
