Less than an hour ago, Tatyana Romanova was detained in the underground passage near the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station, handing out propaganda leaflets for tomorrow's march. Reason for detention: illegal campaigning in the subway.

Five protesters detained earlier in the day at the mayor's office were released from the Tverskoye police department with article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (according to a witness from the police department).

According to Novaya Gazeta, the police detained four participants in a protest against the construction of the northwestern expressway. They were going to give Sobyanin "gifts" in connection with the beginning of the new working year, but were detained before they had time to get together. According to the detainees, five people (including one random passerby pensioner) have been in the Tverskoye police station for 1.5 hours.
