On August 26, Alexei Baranov, one of the organizers of the March for the Federalization of Siberia, was sentenced to a fine of 10,000 rubles. The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Novosibirsk agreed with the accusation that Baranov agitated some two residents of the city of Kupino to go on a march. Baranov claims that this was not the case.

Photo: Tatyana Volkova On August 26 and 27, the Investigative Committee interrogated the employees of Anna Biryukova, founded by Alexei Navalny's Corruption, (she heads the fund’s sociological service), Galina Koposova and Nikolai Lyaskin, as well as the former employee of the Foundation Vladislav Naganova and the mother of the former press secretary of the Anna Vedita Foundation.
