Eco-activist Loshkarev not acquitted, but amnestied

The Rostov Regional Court today refused to acquit eco-activist Sergei Loshkarev, convicted of arms trafficking. However, on July 15, he will be released under an amnesty. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot" . On May 12, 2015, the Novocherkassk City Court found Sergey Loshkarev, an eco-activist from Novocherkassk, guilty of illegal arms trafficking (Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to two years in a colony-settlement. Loshkarev himself denied his guilt.
