Karelian deputy accused of separatist calls sentenced to fine
The Petrozavodsk City Court fined Vladimir Zavarkin, deputy of the Suoyarvi urban settlement, to a fine of 30,000 rubles, accused of calling for violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. It is reported by TASS. The defense plans to appeal the verdict. Earlier, the prosecution asked to give Zavarkin a two-year suspended sentence, as well as to deprive him of the opportunity to hold elected positions in government for two years.
