The director of the library of Ukrainian literature was left under house arrest
The Presnensky District Court of Moscow has extended the period of house arrest for the director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature, Natalya Sharina. The investigator substantiated the need to extend this measure of restraint by the fact that linguistic, cultural and psychological examinations had not yet been carried out in the case, and not all witnesses had been interrogated.

The “Attacks” case was returned to the prosecutor’s office
The judge of the Zyuzinsky District Court of Moscow, Natalia Kuchina, decided to return to the prosecutor's office the case of ten members of the Ataka nationalist association, accused of creating and participating in an extremist community. According to him, their lawyer Ivan Mironov, it is expected that after the case is returned to court, a number of episodes may disappear or receive a different qualification.

One of those detained on “Chekist Day” was released
The Moscow City Court stopped the administrative arrest of Mikhail Udimov, one of the activists detained on Sunday, December 20, at a rally dedicated to the “Chekist Day”. On Monday, Udimov received 15 days. The Moscow City Court sent Udimov's case back to the Kitai-Gorod police department, as he could not be tried without the sanction of the prosecutor's office - Udimov is a voting member of the election commission.

The Basmanny District Court refused to recognize the murder of Boris Nemtsov as political
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow recognized as legitimate the refusal of the ICR to reclassify the charges against the defendants in the case of the murder of Boris Nemtsov. Thus, the court dismissed the complaint of Nemtsov's daughter Zhanna. The politician's daughter asked to reclassify the article "Murder" to the article "Encroachment on the life of a statesman or public figure."

The prosecutor asks Tomsk blogger to be imprisoned for four years
At the hearings in the Kirovsky District Court, state prosecutor Yevgeny Trushin asked blogger Vadim Tyumentsev for four years in a colony-settlement and deprivation for two years of the right to post publicly available information on the Internet. The defendant's lawyer Roman Vlasov drew the attention of the court to the contradictions in the indictment.

Bolotnaya case defendant Andrei Barabanov was released
Political prisoner Andrei Barabanov was released from a colony in the Ryazan region. At the gates of the colony he was met by relatives and friends. Barabanov served three years and seven months and has been in custody since May 30, 2012 on charges of participating in riots and violence against police officers on Bolotnaya Square.
