An activist accused of extremism had his recognizance on his own recognizance replaced by detention
On March 24, the City Court of Yoshkar-Ola changed the measure of restraint for civil activist Yevgeny Pirogov, who is accused for a blog post of actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliating the dignity of a person or a group of persons on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, attitude to religion, as well as belonging to any social group, committed publicly or with the use of mass media (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code).
